This think tank meeting was organised by the Institute of Strategic and International Studies (ISIS) Malaysia, Institut Darul Ridzuan (IDR) and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF). It was held in conjunction with the Pangkor Dialogue (11 and 12 September), an international event focusing on policy renewals in the context of the second big push in Malaysia’s socioeconomic development. It was also a follow-up to a previous forum organised by ISIS under the title Malaysia’s Population in 2050: What Does This Mean Socio-economically?.
